Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Persian Vibe Radio website at persianviberadio.com and the Persian Vibe Radio app for iPhone. Both are provided by AYDA Digital, United Kingdom. By listening to the station, using the website or using the app, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Use.

Persian Vibe Radio is a free, 24-hour internet radio station. It is a radio, not a social product: there are no accounts, no sign-in, no profiles, no advertising and no tracking.

The short version

We do not ask you for your name, email address, phone number or payment details.
We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, tracking pixels or third-party trackers of any kind.
We do not build a profile of you, and we never sell or rent information about you to anyone.
The app stores nothing about you. Its only saved setting is a local on/off preference kept on your own device.

What is unavoidably processed

Listening to internet radio means your device asks our servers for audio. That request, like every request on the internet, carries technical information. Specifically:

Server logs. Our web and streaming servers record the usual technical entries — IP address, date and time, the file or page requested, the response code, and the browser or app user-agent string. These exist so we can keep the station on air, size the servers, diagnose faults and defend against abuse.
Listener counts. Our streaming server reports how many connections are listening at a given moment. This is a number, not a list of people.
A session cookie on the website. The website sets one strictly necessary cookie (RADIO_SESSION) so the page works correctly. It carries no advertising or tracking identifier. There are no other cookies.

We do not attempt to identify you from any of this, and we do not combine it with anything else.

What the iPhone app does on the network

Being precise, because you deserve to know exactly what a radio app talks to:

It requests the live audio stream from our servers, and reads the track title that the stream itself broadcasts.
It fetches the station's public "recently played" list, and, if you tap a past track, the address needed to play it.
When playback fails, it makes a small connectivity check against well-known public addresses run by Apple and Google, purely to work out whether the problem is your Wi-Fi, a captive portal, a VPN or the station being down. No information about you is sent in those checks.
If you tap Share, your device — not us — passes the link to whichever app you choose (Messages, WhatsApp, Telegram, email and so on). What happens next is governed by that app's own privacy policy.
The app has no login, no account, no push notifications, no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK. It does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone or any other permission.

Why we are allowed to do this

Under UK GDPR our lawful basis for the limited technical processing described above is legitimate interests — running a reliable, secure broadcast service. The website cookie is strictly necessary for the site to function.

Who else is involved

Very few parties. Our servers are hosted with a commercial hosting provider in London, United Kingdom. If you use the app, Apple operates the App Store through which you obtained it and may collect its own information under Apple's privacy policy — that is between you and Apple. We use no other processors, and we do not share information with advertisers, data brokers or comparable services.

How long we keep things

Technical server logs are kept only for as long as they are useful for operations and security — typically a few weeks — and are then rotated away. The website session cookie expires by itself. We keep no listener database, because there is nothing in it.

Security, and its limits

We take reasonable care of our servers, but please be realistic about what protects you here. There is no account to protect. The app is protected only by your device: anyone who can unlock your phone can open it, see what you have been listening to on that device and share links from it. Keep your device locked and its passcode private, and sign out of shared devices generally.

If you share a station or track link with somebody, that link is public and can be passed on freely. We are not responsible for what other people do with anything you have shared, or for anyone who gains access to your device, your accounts or links you have sent — whether that is a partner, a family member, an employer or anyone else. No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

Persian Vibe Radio is a general-audience music station and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Because we collect no personal details from anyone, there is nothing for a child to give us — but a parent or guardian who has any concern is welcome to contact us.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive a copy of it. In practice we hold nothing that identifies you, so a request will usually be answered by telling you exactly that. Write to admin@aydayazdani.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. Listeners outside the United Kingdom keep whatever rights their own local law gives them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted here rather than buried.
